Discharge!!! Discharge!!! Whats The Story?

Well the truth about the matter it happens to most.  And of course it has happened to me.  I could let you know a little bit of good news.  It seems as though discharge stops Early in your 2 Trimester.

And I know it is easy for me to say don't be alarmed.  Because you should be concerned about any changes in your body during your pregnancy.

The article I am placing the link to by Fit Pregnancy discusses more common Discharge Types and Symptoms.

Be aware that both UTI and BV are very common infections and are mainly due to changes in our Hormones.

Especially when you are over 35 years of age.

My advice in this case is to get a screening because both infections are not really considered Sexually related.

And to also consider a daily intake of yogurt and of course drinking plenty of water.

So, what is considered common discharge during your first trimester.

Well you may see some brown discharge in the beginning.  Which is basically your bodies way of cleansing it self from your past cycle.

There is also light and dark red discharge during the first trimester as well.  Often times this can be related to your uterus growth, fibroids or even infections.

Now, if you plan of having sexual intercourse, plan on having some form of bleeding or discharge.

It is also common to have a little pain, such as light cramps during this process.

If in fact you have continuous bleeding, heavy and consisting of tissue loss.  Please go to your nearest ER to be checked.

One thing I can let you know about the ER visit is that once admitted the only form of treatment you may receive is a Pelvic Exam, Ultra Sound, Blood and Urine Test.

So, in my eyes your Physician the main point of contact.  In regards to the severity of the discharge, so it is in fact important to let your know of any major changes.

Last, but definitely not least your first 11 weeks of pregnancy is the most vital time in regards to the chance of miscarriage.

I'm Pregnant, Now What?

Well finding out you are pregnant can in most cases be a very exciting moment.  From the first home pregnancy test.

To the many, many more test you will take just to confirm.
When I found out I was pregnant I took 4 pregnancy test, even one of the test from Dollar Tree.
Just for fun and guess what they were all positive.

I actually had a feeling that I was pregnant or at least that something was wrong.  Because of my last cycle, it was and light.  And for me that was very unusual.
My pregnancy also came as a surprise because I was told that I was not able to bear children.

So, seeing the positive test was so unreal.  Plus, the results of the test took less than a minute.

I was almost two months when I found out I was pregnant.  And the only symptoms I had at the time were swollen breast and very tender ones as well.  This symptom is also common for women who have irregular or very heavy cycles.

Right off the bat I also had very, very frequent urination.  Which as of today in my almost 18th week has slowed down to about an average of 6 times a night.  Were as in the beginning you can forget about sleep because I was up every hour on the hour.

One thing I know, in the end this will in fact be all worth it.

So, what to do next....Confirmation... Make sure to make an appointment with your doctor or a local clinic.  This in turn will allow you to obtain your estimated due date.

One of My Favorite Sites

So,
I am currently at my 17th week in my pregnancy.  And throughout my journey I have found the Baby Center site to be pretty informative.  I would recommend that any New Mom join this site not only for the information.  But the community of women that are so supportive on there like myself.

The site allows you to view photos taken by pregnant moms during there journey.  Join a community of women who are celebrating the same due date as yourself.  In my case I am part of the FEB 2014 group.  And there are so many other links and community groups on the site so check it out.

Welcome New Moms,
Let me introduce myself I go by the name of "Mommy T" and I look forward to sharing information in regards to pregnancy.  And other health issues as well.  This is my first pregnancy and I am over the age of 35.  So, with that being said I am what most would consider a high risk pregnancy.  I am starting this blog in the hopes of helping other women who are in my shoes as well.

This is not an easy journey that we are taking but in the end I am sure that it will be well worth it.
